Rehab built for Weymouth work and weekends

When an injury keeps you off the job or out of the driver's seat, the goal of physical therapy is practical: get you back to what you were doing, with the strength to stay there. At BD Physical Therapy, a one-on-one evaluation looks at the injured area, the way you move as a whole, and the exact tasks your work and home life require. That might mean lifting from the floor, climbing a ladder, or simply turning your head to check a blind spot on Route 3.

After that evaluation, treatment moves through three more stages. First, manual therapy and modalities ease pain and restore motion. Next, therapeutic exercise plus balance and stability training rebuild capacity. Finally, a home program keeps you progressing on your own. Along the way, our clinicians may use dry needling, IASTM, taping, or spinal manipulation when they fit your condition, and they explain why each one is part of the plan.

Getting back to Great Esker Park and the open road

Great Esker Park in North Weymouth follows a tree-covered glacial ridge along the Weymouth Back River that rises as high as about 90 feet. Its up-and-down terrain is a useful test of balance and leg strength after an ankle sprain, knee surgery, or a hip replacement. We can use the esker as a late-stage goal, progressing from level walking in the clinic to the slopes and uneven ground you will meet there.

For anyone who regularly drives Route 53, Route 18, or Route 3, a rear-end collision can leave lingering neck and back pain. Car accident rehab focuses on restoring neck motion, reducing muscle guarding, and rebuilding the strength you need to drive and work comfortably. For injuries on the job, work conditioning recreates the lifting, carrying, and pushing your role demands, so you can return ready for a full shift.

How do I get to BD Physical Therapy from Weymouth?

Starting at Weymouth's town center, the drive is about 9.3 miles and takes about 17 minutes in light traffic. The route follows Middle Street, Route 18, Randolph Street, Weymouth Street, and Route 139 to 63 South Main Street in Randolph. Head to Suite B when you arrive.

I was in a car accident on Route 3. Can I start physical therapy?

After a crash, see a medical provider first to rule out fractures or other serious injuries. Once you are cleared for activity, physical therapy can address the neck pain, back pain, headaches, and stiffness that linger. Your therapist will evaluate how you move and build a plan that steps up gradually as symptoms settle. Questions about insurance can go to our front desk as well.

Can physical therapy help me return to a physical job?

That is the purpose of our work injury and work conditioning programs. Your therapist breaks your job down into its physical demands, such as lifting, carrying, kneeling, or overhead reaching, and then trains each one progressively. The aim is to rebuild the strength and endurance your role requires, with a home program supporting the process.

Do you work with older adults who want to stay steady on their feet?

Geriatric physical therapy and balance and gait training are both part of the practice. Sessions work on leg strength, walking pattern, and reaction time, which can help with curbs, stairs, and uneven ground. Plans are paced to your energy and health history, and you can call (781) 961-4461 to ask questions before booking.
