Specialized physical therapy under one roof
Since 2013, BD Physical Therapy has worked with patients recovering from surgery, injury, and long-standing pain at its Randolph office. Our team includes Doctors of Physical Therapy, and every new patient begins with a one-on-one evaluation. From there we follow a clear sequence: evaluate the problem, restore comfortable motion, strengthen what has weakened, and return you to normal life with a home program. The sequence stays the same, but the content of each session is shaped around you.
Some of what we treat calls for specialized training. Our clinicians bring experience in vestibular and concussion management, pelvic floor therapy, neurorehabilitation, and pre- and post-operative care. That means a patient with vertigo, a patient after a hip replacement, and a patient with pelvic pain can each work with someone who knows that area well, without having to search for a separate clinic for each problem.

04 Local life
Recovering for the Dedham you know
Wilson Mountain Reservation covers 215 acres and is the largest remaining open space in Dedham, with trails that climb, descend, and cross rocky ground. Those are exactly the demands that expose a weak ankle or a knee still healing from surgery. Closer to home, the outdoor layout of Legacy Place means plenty of walking between stores, and dizziness or hip pain can turn that into a chore. Our goal is practical: to get your body ready for the walking, climbing, and errands your week in Dedham actually involves.

How long is the trip from Dedham to BD Physical Therapy?
It is about 13 miles and roughly 20 minutes in light traffic, mostly on I-95/Route 128, I-93, and Route 24. Because highway traffic varies a lot during the day, many people prefer early or evening sessions. Our hours run from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Can therapy help me get back to hiking Wilson Mountain after a knee injury?
That is a realistic goal to build toward. Your therapist will start by restoring motion and controlling swelling, then progress to step-ups, single-leg balance, and downhill control, since descending is often the hardest part of a hike. You will practice the movements the trail demands before you head back out on it.
I get dizzy when I turn my head or walk through crowded stores. Do you treat that?
We do. Vestibular therapy uses specific head, eye, and balance exercises to help the brain adapt when the inner ear is sending mixed signals. An evaluation helps sort out the likely cause, and if your symptoms suggest something that needs a physician first, your therapist will tell you.
What is pelvic floor physical therapy?
It is treatment for the muscles that support the bladder, bowel, and pelvic organs. People seek it for leakage, pelvic pain, and recovery after childbirth, among other reasons. Sessions are private and one-on-one, and your therapist explains each step and checks your comfort before moving ahead.
